20/20 Housing Co-operative was established in 1982 as a housing co-operative by a group of single people in the Moseley and Balsall Heath areas of Birmingham.

Having registered with the Government funding and regulatory body the Housing Corporation, we developed our first home in 1986 – 16 Park Road, a Victorian house converted into four single person flats.  Next door – 18 Park Road – followed a year later and 3 flats in 9 Augusta Road in 1987.

Having bought three family homes, 20/20 decided to expand on its original purpose to build homes for single people, building twelve new family houses in Nursery Avenue and Homer Street in 1990, and fifteen one and two bedroomed flats at the end of Homer Street in 1991.  A further set of eight family homes were bought in 2002, bringing the total number of our homes to 49.  The mix of single people and families in 20/20’s homes has served us well for nearly forty years.
